After a week long setback, our team is going to Stargard. The match will be available on Emocje TV. The transmission starts on Friday, 19th of March at 17:30.
The yellow and blues are going to Stargard for a second time this week. The match was suppose to take place last Friday, but the COVID interfered. Coach Blechacz and his team have already played this season in the OSIR. On the 17th of January, they faced off against King Szczecin, who had to move out of their own hall due to it being used as a temporary hospital. Back then, we lost 50:82. This Friday however, we will do our best to turn the tide.
Time and place: Friday, 19th of March at 17:30, OSIR hall in Stargard
Available on: Emocje TV
Playstle and players: the opposing team has began winning regularly after the arrival of US player Jay Threatt (14 points, 9.9 assists, 1 steal). The 31-year old is a star player, noting an average of 10 assists, making him the best supporter in the League. And that is in addition to is 14 points per match. His ability to provide points and deliver effective assists is a rarity. Nick Faust (16.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.2 steals) was also contracted this year. Despite not always making the best decisions, this forward is fully capable of delivering some difficult throws, one of which was an effective buzzer-beater against Arged BM Slam Stal Ostrow Wlkp. Thanks to his throw, Spojnia won 84:83, which was crucial in their fight to get into the playoffs. Raymond Cowels (13.8 points, 4.9 rebounds) is effective in long range, as is frountcourter Baylee Steele (11 points, 7.2 rebounds), who despite his height (211 cm) does like to throw from afar. The Polish worthy of note are players such as Filip Matczak (11.4 points, 3.8 assists, 1.9 steals), Mateusz Kostrzewski (11.2 points, 4.4 rebounds) and Kacper Mlynarski (9.4 points, 4.3 rebounds). Coach Marek Lukomski and his team definitely deliver most of their points in 2 point throws.
Last five matches: 106:93 against Polpharmą Starogard Gdański, 77:67 against Anwilem Włocławek, 84:83 against Stalą Ostrów Wlkp, 86:87 against Pszczółką Start Lublin, 75:73 against HydroTruckiem Radom - 4 wins, 1 loss.
The key to victory: Our most important task is to close our backcourt. The whole team must forget about the match against Astoria and the minimal loss against Anwil. We must counter their quick attack and Nick Fausts penetrations. The end is nigh, and we need your support!
